- Road Risks – Covers any motor vehicle that you own or in your custody or control in connection with your business. Can be extended to cover courtesy vehicles and accompanied demonstrations. Unaccompanied demonstrations can be provided for main dealers and selective used vehicle sales
- Engineering Inspections – to comply with your legal requirements this will provide statutory inspection certificates for your pressure vessels and lifting equipment

If you’re buying and selling vehicles for profit, even part-time, you’ll need at least road risks and public liability insurance including sales indemnity.
What does road risk only insurance cover?
It covers you to drive vehicles for motor trade purposes, including customer vehicles you are selling or repairing.
What's included in combined motor trade insurance?
It includes Property Damage, Business Interruption, Public / Products Liability, Employers Liability, Road Risks, and Engineering Inspections.
Can I let customers test drive vehicles?
Yes, this is called demonstration cover. Accompanied demonstration is standard but unaccompanied can be included, subject to insurers requirements.

Yes, if you have anyone working for you, full time, part time or casual.
Do I need public liability insurance?
It’s not mandatory but strongly advised. It covers you if a member of the public is injured or suffers property damage due to your work.
